Ken introduced me to Malt liquor at about 15 or 16 in his dad's camper.  I liked the feeling but didn't like the hangover. We would goof around on White Bear Lake and Bald Eagle lake fishing and hunting for frogs as kids.  At U of M we had fun listening to music WUI and having an all around good time.  Freshman year was more fun then studying.   What a great time we had as kids.  He was a good friend and its sad he has departed.

When Greg Hubbard and I moved into an apartment at the U of M, we eventually found Kenny sleeping in our living room.  He was always welcome because he was always the bringer of fun.  If it wasn't fun, Kenny wouldn't do it.  All the way from Gumby Tag our freshman year at WBHS...(got busted) collecting traffic cones from the new construction when building I95...(great party decorations, never got busted).  In 1989 he was living as a hermit in Idaho (according to him...correct me if that's not right, but what he told me seemed to fit his personality).  There are other stories, but we will let them rest in the fond memory of a guy who for some time was a great friend and really lived life to the fullest.

There is no doubt that Ken in  high school and college knew how to have fun and occasionally cause havoc. While I like the others remember that part of Ken 's life what I remember more is how he grew to be a very  committed father. Ken's wife Dorthy was a terrific partner for him. He passed away far too young. Kevin Burke

Where do i start? Some of my fondiest memories will be the ones that bond a friendship for life. We visited Ken a number of times in Montana, where he found his connection in life, family who loved the outdoors. Dorothy, Heather and Jake & Ken camped all over the John Muir Wilderness and Rocky mountains - one time he said "Lets go for a Hike"  we hiked up a 8000ft peak one afternoon to show me the valley below and he smoked a Marlboro as I gasped for air!   He brought me to a mountian river where the trout were hungry, tasty and the environment was free the hectic life he was a custom to in Minnesota  - I saw a mountain man in love with his family - thanks Ken for all of our journeys...  rest in peace your long time friend Bruce
